Willowridge High School Students Take Field Trip to Washington
FORT BEND ISD - Willowridge High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers recently sponsored a trip to Washington, D. C., for 22 students (five who met "A Quest to Inspire" challenge set by teachers, earning them an all-expense paid trip) and 17 others who paid their own way. To earn the free trip, students had to be overall good students in academics and behavior. They also had to take on leadership roles in their school and community. While in Washington, the students toured the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery and other historical sites. The trip was coordinated by CTE Department Chair, Beverley Lawson. This was the second year that Willowridge has taken students on this particular field trip.
