FBISD Launches Website News Center -

Your source for reliable news about Fort Bend ISD!

FORT BEND ISD -   Fort Bend Independent School District has launched a new website News Center at fortbendisdnews.com. After obtaining a PIER (public information emergency response) Center license from Fort Bend County, FBISD Community Relations in partnership with the FBISD Safe and Secure Schools and Technology Departments, began the implementation of a new web-based redundant "News Center" application for communications. The FBISD News Center (PIER Center) was funded as part of a regional Homeland Security Grant for 30 PIER Centers with Fort Bend County acting as the agent in which to transfer ownership to our district and other regional partners.

• News Center hosted externally with redundant servers - The FBISD News Center has its own website address and can be viewed in the event that the FBISD website is not functional. Take a moment to check out the new navigation of the web pages. Save this web address as a bookmark - fortbendisdnews.com.
• News Releases - Your source for reliable information about Fort Bend ISD. Fort Bend ISD continuously updates the News Center with accurate and timely information about our schools, programs, achievements of students and staff, district policies and procedures, Board decisions, critical education issues and emergency/inclement weather information. We are committed to open two-way communication with the public and offer numerous opportunities to share ideas, suggestions and information.
• Emergency Information - As we all know, weather on the Gulf Coast of Texas can be anything but predictable! In the event of inclement weather, go to fortbendisdnews.com for the most current information, including school closing information. The News Center will also serve as a Joint Information Center to optimize communication with regional partners.
