Hightower High School Medical Science Academy Student Honored by Mayor Bill White

FORT BEND ISD - Hightower High Schoolsenior, Mahak Saad, was recently honored by Houston Mayor Bill White in recognition of her academic achievements. A national honor student, Saad attends Hightower’s Medical Science Academy and has received numerous awards and honors throughout her high school career, including at various Health Occupation Students of America and Future Business Leaders of America national and state competitions. She has also served as a medical intern at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Veterans Hospital, focusing in the area of cardiovascular surgery. She hopes to complete her advanced medical internship rounds at the Texas Heart Institute.
