Lake Olympia Middle School Names Winners of Spelling Bee

FORT BEND ISD ― Lake Olympia Middle School recently announced the winners of their Spelling Bee competition. Brittany Malone earned first place (after correctly spelling the word, cajolery), Diamond Dickson won second place, and Akintunde Sowunni won third place. Malone will go on to compete in the Fort Bend County Spelling Bee on February 20 at Briscoe Junior High School in Richmond. Dickson will serve as the alternate and will replace Malone in the event that she is unable to compete in the February 20 competition.

Lake Olympia Middle School’s Spelling Bee Committee would like to thank the following individuals for making the event successful: Kevin Shipley, Donna Pierce, Jason Flores, Kathleen Loper, and Rosette Cabanero.
