Sixty-Five FBISD 2010 National Merit Finalists Named 

FORT BEND ISD – The Fort Bend Independent School District is proud to announce the names of 65 FBISD students who have been named finalists in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program. The 65 FBISD Finalists are among more than 1.5 million high school students in more than 21,000 United States high schools who entered the 2009 Merit Program by taking the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and were initially named as Semi-finalists.

Fort Bend ISD's 2010 National Merit Finalists by campus are:

  • Austin High School – Can Ardic, Wayne Chang, Audrey Chao, Bernard Goal, Allison Joffrion, Mary Knewtson, Michelle Q. Li, Matthew Scribe, Komal Sheth, Nathan Truong, Amy Wang, Christopher Xiao, and Ge Yang;
  • Clements High School – Jeffrey Chan, Rebekah Cramerus, Andrew Herzog, Michael Hu, Henry Hwang, Chandni Kaushik, Gaurav Kikani, Kyle Krueger, Chun Leung, Katharine Li, Zheng Li, Kevin Lin, Jialing Lu, Siddharth Mullick, Alan Pan, Shree Pandya, Lu Peng, Sneha Raju, Robert Tolle, Albertine Wang, Amy Wang, David Wu, Sihang Wu, Yujing Wu, Lucy Xie, Allison Yeh, Chenxi You, Jay Young and Wenbel Zhou;
  • Dulles High School – Laura Bolling, Hongjing Cao, Sasha Chada, Alan Harkins, Chris Javier, Olivia Kwong, Stephen Ogier, Angela Song, Richard Sun, Calvin Szeto, Jonathan Williamson and Michael Zhu;
  • Elkins High School – Anirudh Chiti, David Kronenberger, and Eric Yu;
  • Hightower High School – Joshua Ouseph;
  • Kempner High School – Dan Dao, Hojoon Lee, Denise Li and Andre Treiber, and;
  • Travis High School – Nasir Adaya, Shanay Kapadia and Parth Upadhyay.

Beginning in March 2010 and continuing to mid-June, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation notifies approximately 8,200 Finalists that they have been selected to receive a Merit® Scholarship awards. Merit Scholarship awards are of three types: National Merit® $2,500 Scholarships, Corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards and College-sponsored Merit Scholarships awards.
