FBISD IB Middle Years Programme to open at Missouri City Middle School for the 2010-2011 school year seeks applicants

Deadline to apply is April 10!

FORT BEND ISD ― Sixth-grade students throughout the District and their parents are invited to learn more about the highly regarded International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme at a special Parent Night to be held on Wednesday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Missouri City Middle School, 202 Martin Lane, Missouri City. Missouri City MS will serve as the site for the Fort Bend ISD IB Middle Years Candidate Programme for the 2010-2011school year. Incoming seventh-grade (or current sixth-grade) students from the entire district interested in attending the IB Middle Years Programme are eligible to apply. 

The highly regarded program is also designed to help students enter the IB Programme in high school, where they can graduate with 24 college credit hours or more! Or, they may choose to enter one of the district’s High School Academy Programs. The deadline to apply is April 10!

“The program begins in seventh-grade and continues through the eighth-grade. Every student at Missouri City Middle School will be involved in the IB Programme. And, any current sixth-grade students throughout the district may apply to the program for the next school year. The IB Middle Years Programme is a great opportunity, and we want you to apply now!’” said Trevor Lemon, principal of Missouri City Middle School
