Hightower High School Volunteers to Host Campus Beautification Project
FORT BEND ISD ― The Hightower High School VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) will host a campus beautification project, “Canes Campus Beautification Day,” on Saturday, March 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hightower High School is located at 3333 Hurricane Lane, in Missouri City. The project will bring together Hightower students, staff, parents, and community members for a day of great community service and socialization. The purpose of the project is to enhance the outside grounds to reflect the array of learning opportunities that take place inside the school each day. During the beautification project, a memorial garden will be planted, and each senior class will be asked to sponsor and plant a tree on the school grounds. Landscaping services and supplies are being donated by various business and community representatives. Lawrence Jackson of Lawrence Jackson, Jackson & Jackson Landscaping will serve as the project consultant and representatives from Radio Station 97.9 “The Box” will be present at the school from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to offer music and fun. If you are interested in taking part in this worthwhile event, please call Sheryl Davis at 713-898-8193 or email her at hightowervips@gmail.com.
