Fort Bend ISD Speech and Debate Students Compete at State Meet
FORT BEND ISD ― Fort Bend ISD speech and debate students recently competed at the Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Meet and earned several top awards and honors. The competition was held March 11-13 in
Students who received awards in the following categories include:
Prose Interpretation (108 competitors) -- Tretitia Hobbs (Hightower), 1st place; Domonique Champion (Hightower) and Mehreen Jamal (Kempner), Quarter Finalists
Impromptu Speaking (160 competitors) -- Maggie Zhou (Clements), 3rd Place; Sarah Zhou (Clements), 4th Place; Eric Diep (Kempner), Semifinalist; Hira Baig (Kempner), Quarter Finalist
Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking (83 competitors) -- Yogashri Pradhan (Clements), Semifinalist; Shree Pandya (Clements), Quarter Finalist
Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking (115 competitors) -- Angela Chin (Kempner), Quarter Finalist; Nikita Kansra (Travis), Quarter Finalist; Gaurav Nayak (Travis), Quarter Finalist
