New Band Director at Willowridge High School – Maurice Ross
FORT BEND ISD — Willowridge High School has a new Band Director – Maurice Ross. Ross began his educational career as a Band Director more than 20 years ago at Missouri City Middle School. He also served at Willowridge High School, and Christa McAuliffe and Lake Olympia Middle Schools. Before accepting his new post, he was the Band Director at Dr. Dixie Melillo Middle School in Pasadena ISD. He is an accomplished music educator and excited about his new position at Willowridge.
Ross received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Texas Southern University, and his Master of Music degree in Music Education at the University of Houston.
“I am pleased that I was able to select such a quality musician to lead our efforts toward upholding the high standards in music education set forth by the late great Ronald Thornton. I am confident that under the direction of Mr. Ross, we will continue to see excellence in our music program at Willowridge High School,” said Dr. Joe Coleman, Principal, Willowridge High School.
