“Canes Campus Beautification Day” a Success Thanks to Volunteers!
FORT BEND ISD ― Hightower High School’s Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) recently hosted “Canes Campus Beautification Day” to enhance the school grounds at Hightower. The event was a great success thanks to the many student, district, and community and business groups that took part in the project. Volunteers helped plant trees and flowers, and a memorial garden to honor students and staff; repaint the front entrance of the school, as well as the school logo and handicapped signs along the driveways and parking lots; and clear the grounds of debris. Landscaping services and supplies were donated by various business and community representatives, and Lawrence Jackson of Lawrence Jackson, Jackson & Jackson Landscaping served as the project consultant.
