Lexington Creek Elementary’s DI Terminators Place Third at Global Destination ImagiNation Competition!
FORT BEND ISD - Lexington Creek Elementary School’s Destination ImagiNation Team, the DI Terminators, recently traveled to the University of Tennessee to compete in the Global Finals of the DI competition. The Global Finals is the culminating event of the Destination ImagiNation season and welcomes hundreds of student teams from all 50 U.S. states and various countries from around the world to showcase their challenge solutions. Teams that compete at the Global Finals are those that won past regional and state/country tournaments. The DI Terminators advanced to the Global Finals after earning first place in the Breaking DI News division challenge at the state competition.
Destination ImagiNation, Inc. is an extraordinary non-profit organization that provides two educational programs for students to learn and experience creativity, teamwork and problem solving. Each year, DI reaches 100,000 students across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. Destination ImagiNation, the core program, is an exhilarating after-school activity in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending Challenges and present their solutions at Tournaments.
