Freshman Track Star at Marshall High School 

FORT BEND ISD - Mylana Hearn, a ninth-grade student at Marshall High School, has set a high athletic standard for upcoming freshmen athletes to meet. She is the first freshman in the history of Marshall High School to advance to the 5A UIL State Track and Field Meet and compete in an individual event. On May 15, Hearn competed in the Girls Triple Jump 5A event at state and placed 6^th.

Hearn advanced to the state meet after earning 28 points at the district meet. At the District Meet, she placed 1^st in the High Jump event, 1^st in Triple Jump, 3^rd in Long Jump, and 5^th in the 100-Meter Hurdles. Hearn is coached by Head Girls’ Track Coach, Benita Smith.
